  6. This document describes the Adobe software included in this folder.  The "Acrobat Reader 3.0" installer from Adobe places an older version of the ~ATM™ control panel on the hard drive.  Run the "Adobe Type Manager 4.0.2" installer after installing "Acrobat Reader 3.0".

IMPORTANT  To use the "Acrobat Reader 3.0" or "Adobe Type Manager 4.0.2" installers from Adobe, do not use the Mac OS 8.1 CD as the startup disk. If the Mac OS 8.1 CD is the startup disk, an error (Error Creating File. -44) will occur when the Adobe installer attempts to write files to the CD.  The Mac OS 8.1 CD should be used as the startup disk only for installation of System Software.

  10. Acrobat Reader 3.0
  11. Adobe™ Acrobat Reader allows viewing and printing of any Portable Document Format (PDF) file. There may be several PDF files on the computer's hard disk and on the system software CD that came with the computer. Use Adobe Acrobat Reader to view or print these files.

  13. Adobe Type Manager 4.0.2
  14. Adobe™ Type Manager (ATM) installs a control panel which allows you to use PostScript fonts.

  16. IMPORTANT In order to properly install Adobe Type Manager 4.0.2, the Adobe Type Manager 4.0.2 installer must be run after the Acrobat Reader 3.0 installer.
